DoE Planning publishes guidance for Planning Policy Statement 4
The DoE has published draft Supplementary Planning Guidance for Policy PED 8 of Planning Policy Statement 4 'Planning and Economic Development' for public consultation.
The SPG is designed to clarify Policy PED 8 ' Development incompatible with Economic Development Uses' and gives a clearer message in relation to the Department's policy regarding the operations of established industrial enterprises which require a contaminant free environment. It seeks to ensure that such existing enterprises are protected.
The DoE is seeking comments on the draft SPG.
